DORF 2025 FALL INTERNSHIPS - APPLY NOW!
The DORF Internship provides a university/college-enrolled student or young professional with a paid opportunity to work in non-profit arts administration. This internship position will provide a range of experiences working on communications, administrative organization and management, event production, and other various tasks within the non-profit. This individual will be valued and respected as a member of the DORF team.
DORF provides space for artist-generated and artist-centered projects in the Greater Austin area that exemplify unconventional, interventionist, conceptual, entrepreneurial, participatory, or guerrilla artistic practices.
The internship time commitment is 5-10 hours per week (combination of virtual and in-person)

DORF INTERNSHIP DETAILS
Primary Intern tasks:
Gallery attendant (average of 2 Saturdays a month, 12:00 - 5:00 PM)– assist with open-hours gallery operations, including:
Caretaking of exhibitions
Perform exhibitions-related research where needed
Greet visitors
Assist with the implementation and promotion of programs and special events
Design and marketing interests/skills are a plus!
Social media assistance
Attendance at events for onsite support –
Help set up for receptions and performances
Assist with point of sale (POS) systems and visitor facing services like running the bar and donations
Administrative, cataloging and data management assistance
All DORF internships come with a $400 stipend and a free DORF shirt of your choosing!
Qualifications:
Aligned with and interested in supporting DORF’s mission and objectives
Eager to learn, collaborative spirit
Proficient with the Google Suite
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Interest in developing experience into a professional path
Commitment to working 5-10 hours per week (hours will fluctuate throughout the season)
Bonus Qualifications:
Strong writing skills
Experience and knowledge of Adobe Suite for design or/and video editing
Web and social media savvy
Internship term/details: September 6 – December 13, 2025 ; 5-10 hours per week (combination of virtual and in-person)
Stipend: $400
